Over the Christmas break I visited my old elementary school in Owasso, a small suburb of Tulsa.
I loved sharing stories with Ryan of my eventful elementary years. Funny how everything looks much bigger when you're young (such as the US map). The visit was pretty bittersweet, the school has really dilapidated over the years.
That store in the background of your first picture is where John spends all our money! Lol. Also, I spent 5th grade at Barnes, and I loved the maps painted on the ground...I was fond of the world map!
AJ - The world map was still there! I remember having lunch outside (only a special treat) and were always instructed to "sit on a state". And I thought, in my little 1st grade mindset, it being the coolest thing. I loved the maps. Next time I'm in Owasso, we should grab lunch and catch up. I would love to meet Violet too.
this is too cool!
